Store rules

Plugins people can trust

Every plugin on this store is checked by a person at Pulsar before it goes live, and again with every update. Pulsar is on Google Play, so these rules sit inside Google Play's policies.

1No downloading from sites that forbid it

No YouTube downloaders, and nothing that saves video or music from a site whose terms forbid downloading. Downloading your own files or free, openly licensed media is fine.

2No hidden or remote code

Everything the plugin runs is inside the file you upload, readable by our reviewers. No obfuscation, no eval, no scripts fetched from a server and run later. Minified code is fine; send the source if we ask.

3Permissions match the purpose

Ask only for what the features on your listing need. "All sites" access needs a reason a user would understand from the description.

4Privacy policy when data leaves the phone

If the plugin sends anything about the user or their browsing to a server (yours or anyone else's), link a privacy policy that says what, why and for how long. Never sell browsing data.

5Respect "Disable on this site"

When the user turns your plugin off for a site in Pulsar, it must not run there: no content scripts, no requests changed, no data read.

6An honest listing

The name, description and screenshots show what the plugin really does. No pretending to be another brand, no hidden ads or affiliate links injected into sites, nothing Google Play would not allow in an app.

What happens when a rule is broken

We reject the update and tell the developer why. A published plugin that breaks a rule can be switched off for everyone in minutes with Pulsar's kill switch, then removed from the store.

Report a plugin
